Squash Casserole

Casserole

 

This recipe is from my mother-in-law and it was always a family hit.

 

Ingredients


2 pounds yellow squash
1 medium chopped onion
1 cup cracker crumbs
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
3 teaspoons butter
½ cup milk
1 egg

Cooking Method


Preheat oven to 350°

 

Cook squash and onion until tender, remove from heat.

  1. Add all ingredients except half the cheese. 

  2. Stir until well blended, pour into casserole.

  3. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. 

  4. Bake at 350° about 20 minutes.
