Red Lobster® Cheddar Bay Crab Biscuits®
|
|
Red Lobster® Restaurant
Makes: 8 Biscuits
|

|
"This is a slight improvement
of Red Lobster's famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits; it has a
little bit of crab thrown in. If you like those tender,
cheesy biscuits that come with every meal at Red Lobster,
then you'll surely like this new recipe. If you rather stick
with the original, then you can, just leave out the addition
of crab." |
|
Ingredients
2 cups Bisquick®
baking mix
1¾ cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
⅔ cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon fine parsley
⅓ cup crab meat, fresh or canned lump |
|
Cooking Method
Preheat the oven to 450°.
Combine baking mix, 1 cup of
the cheddar cheese, milk, and ½
of the melted butter in a medium sized mixing bowl.
-
Mix by hand until well
combined. It should form workable dough.
-
Sprinkle the parsley over
the top of the dough. Be sure the dried parsley flakes
are crushed fine. You can easily crush the flakes in a
small bowl with your thumb and forefinger.
-
Then mix the parsley into
the dough with your hands.
-
Sprinkle the crab over the
top of the dough.
-
Sprinkle the remaining
cheese over the crab.
-
Mix the dough well to
evenly distribute all ingredients.
-
Turn the dough out onto a
floured surface and knead gently for a few seconds.
-
Then roll the dough out to
a 1 inch thick sheet.
-
Use a biscuit cutter or a
small lid to cut out biscuit shapes.
Spray a baking sheet with non
stick cooking spray.
-
Arrange each biscuit on
the baking sheet, taking care not to place them to close
together.
-
Combine the remaining
butter with the garlic powder and brush it over the top
of the biscuits.
-
Place the baking sheet
into the preheated oven.
-
Bake for 14-16 minutes or
until the biscuits begin to slightly brown.
-
When done remove from the
oven and allow to cool slightly Serve promptly.
