These are great hush puppies with just a
little sweet taste. They are habit forming and if you are not careful you
will eat so many that it fills you up.

1 cup cornmeal
½ cup flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk |
|
Cooking Method
Sift meal, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and garlic salt together in
bowl. Beat egg, add egg and milk to meal mixture and stir until

(Mixture should be thin enough to drop from spoon.) Drop by small
spoonfuls in hot corn oil (375 degrees F.). Fry until golden
brown. Drain on paper towels. |
