Halibut

with Cilantro and Lime

Fish

 

All ingredients are to be organic and the fish wild caught.

 

Ingredients

 

8 oz halibut steaks

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

¼ cup soy sauce

½ teaspoon cornstarch

½ teaspoon minced fresh ginger

½ teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

¼ cup slivered red or yellow onion

1 clove garlic, minced

¼ cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges (optional)

Cooking Method

Cut fish into 1-inch pieces or leave whole

  • Sprinkle with lime juice

Place soy sauce and cornstarch in cup

  1. Blend until smooth

  2. Stir in ginger

  3. Set aside

Heat oil in wok or large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot

  1. Add onion and garlic

  2. Stir-fry 2 minutes

  3. Add halibut

  4. Stir-fry 2 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork

Stir soy sauce mixture

  1. Add to wok

  2. Stir-fry 30 seconds or until sauce boils and thickens

  3. Sprinkle with cilantro

  4. Garnish with lime wedges
