Blackberry Cobbler

Golda Seay (Donna's Aunt)
Servings: 6

Cobbler

This is my favorite and my family's favorite berry pie.  I make it from scratch to include the dough because I like to do it that way (actually I think it adds just a little bit more to the cobbler).  However, with all the excellent frozen pie crust dough's of today that is not necessary to enjoy the great taste of this cobbler.  I use frozen berries to make the cobbler and I have found they are just as good as fresh berries.  It just doesn't get any better than a warm helping of this cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top.

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients:

½ cup milk
¾ cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup sugar
½ stick butter

Berries:
½ cup sugar
2 cups blackberries

Cooking Method

Mix all dough ingredients.

Melt butter in baking dish, pour onto dough mix.

Sweeten berries to taste, pour onto dough mix.

Put into 350° oven and bake until crust is brown.
